Τhe performance was for me a field to experiment both with various scenographic materials and their textures, as well as with the multiple properties of light on stage, theatrical or not. In a universe inhabited by a cosmic being and a shadowy figure, lighting is called upon to create as their companion -or as another performer- pulsating images and spasmodic movements, enhancing the unexpected that one can encounter in the grotesque show of Euripides Laskaridis. Lighting -after several months of experimentation- was integrated into the dramaturgy and the use of unconventional light sources as well as the embrace of darkness contributed to a cosmogony – a special personal pleasure during the creative process of lighting design. Light is a magical expressive tool that can by nature tell stories. The performance tells a story of the past and the future in the present. And this, in a way, concerns everyone.
