The challenge for the set design was to express the whole scenic landscape in its process as a main character of the play. The play deals with the route of an arbitrary house in Erimitis (a Natura reserve) which was transferred to private control overnight by state law for a vast hotel to be constructed. The proprietor seizes the house declaring it an independent state to avoid demolition, which he fails to do. Years later, we see the theatrical version of the event at the hotel restaurant. In the beginning, we find ourselves in a pristine pebbled coastal landscape, the hero trying to build an arbitrary structure digging on the stage ditches-foundations. The house is constructed with a wheeled platform on the ditches, where the baroque element of the arbitrary Greek reality/sloppiness settles, lit as an insinuation of a swimming pool film. In the end, squatters-actors-heroes push back the structure holding festive lights and dressed like postcard heroes as part of a performance at the hotel restaurant.
