I was born in Corinth. I studied painting at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and drama at Akis Davis’ School. I work in the theatre as an actress, director and set designer.
An empty, narrow stage-corridor that will be filled with furniture from different periods during the performance. The protagonists never cease to carry and relocate their lives. In the end, they will flee from this endless accumulation of items in their childhood to Moscow. The niches will open to reveal a snowy landscape. The three sisters will live carefree as children before they return again to the narrow corridor. I tried to create a realistic yet poetic space. Essentially, a relocation with all mental and material connotations this metaphor can convey. A landscape that can welcome the sad lightheartedness time leaves behind passing through our lives. The set was in fact a jigsaw puzzle of furniture. So the actors carried it around on stage gradually creating a jammed space that in the end prevented them from moving altogether. The collaborators’ generosity and faith was unique and deeply touching.
